Water Damage – Los Angeles Home

Water damage struck this Los Angeles home when a pipe burst. The water accumulated to about an inch deep over the carpeted area. SERVPRO was contacted to clean up the water. The homeowners discussed the water damage repair with their insurance company, and they agreed on replacing the carpeting with hardwood flooring. The property owners also decided to have us put a fresh coat of paint on the interior. We started by removing the waterlogged carpeting quickly so we could dry the subfloor and baseboards. The remaining water was suctioned from the subfloor, and we placed commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to increase the evaporation rate and capture any residual airborne moisture. The entire project took less than a week to complete.
